Chris Columbus, best known for directing the first two\u00a0Harry Potter<\/i>\u00a0films while producing the third, has said in clear terms: It’s \u201cimpossible.\u201d<\/p>\n
His comment is in response to a question which was about whether he has any intention to attach to the forthcoming reboot series as a director, which is in the making at Warner Bros. Discovery.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt\u2019s never going to happen,\u201d he said, noting the political row sparked by the author J.K. Rowling’s views on the trans community made \u201cit so complicated with all the political stuff.\u201d<\/p>\n
The filmmaker, who also opposed her opinion on the issue, continued, \u201cEveryone in the cast has their own opinion, which is different from [Rowling\u2019s] opinion, which makes it impossible.\u201d<\/p>\n
It\u2019s unclear for this reason or someone else’s; the duo also have not been in touch for the last ten years.<\/p>\n
\u201cI haven\u2019t spoken to Miss Rowling in a decade or so, so I have no idea what\u2019s going on with her,\u201d he shared.<\/p>\n
But Chris, on the other hand, is in active contact with the lead star Daniel Radcliffe, who portrayed\u00a0<\/i>Harry Potter.<\/i><\/p>\n
\u201cBut I keep very close contact with Daniel Radcliffe, and I just spoke to him a few days ago,\u201d he said. \u201cI still have a great relationship with all the kids in the cast.\u201d<\/p>\n
