Meghan Markle just opened up about the fact that in her family, breakfast time is “sacred.”<\/p>\n
The Duchess of Sussex makes a hot meal for her husband, Prince Harry and their children Prince Archie, and Princess Lilibet.<\/p>\n
Speaking to Tan France on her show\u00a0With Love, Meghan,\u00a0<\/i>she said: \u201cThe ritual of breakfast, it\u2019s a sacred time as a family. You pace it. You can talk about what they\u2019re excited for the day. So just take a minute of calm before the day, wherever the day is going to end up taking you.”<\/p>\n
She also insisted that preparing breakfast for yourself and your family should not have to be a \u201cbig undertaking.\u201d<\/p>\n
As she prepared French Toast, Meghan said, “I make hot breakfast most mornings for the kids and my husband. But it\u2019s not as complicated as people think it is. This is so easy to make.\u201d<\/p>\n
“It feels like a big undertaking, but you\u2019re just slicing bread and dunking it in eggs and calling it a day,\u201d she mentioned.<\/p>\n
Tan said: “You\u2019re at the griddle. They\u2019re not just eating cereal.”<\/p>\n
Meghan agreed: \u201cYes, fried eggs and pancakes.”<\/p>\n
“I like to do surprise pancakes for the kids,\u201d she further revealed, adding, \u201cSo, I always put some ground flax seeds, pour some chia seeds. And Lili will ask me, \u2018Can I have chia seeds? I want it to have freckles.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cOne thing I do with my kids \u2014 and I will say that it takes a bit more time \u2014 I like the presentation for them. Archie will say, \u2018Oh, mama, that looks beautiful,'” Meghan said, about making presentable breakfast plates for her two children.<\/p>\n
This comes after the As Ever owner admitted that she \u201cloves\u201d to make breakfast for her family, and it doesn\u2019t take a lot of her effort all the time.<\/p>\n
She told People magazine earlier this year: \u201cI\u2019m up before my kids are, so I\u2019m normally up at 6:30, and then I get them up and dressed for the day, and we go downstairs.\u201d<\/p>\n
“I love making breakfast for my family,\u201d she mentioned, adding, \u201cMy husband and Archie both love fried eggs.\u201d<\/p>\n
“There\u2019s a lot of bacon around here. And then sometimes you don\u2019t have time for all that, and you just put a frozen waffle in the toaster and call it a day.
